The historic capital of the land of epic mustaches and mirrored, bejeweled caps (i.e. Sindh). Thatta, in its heyday, boasted 400 colleges, and was the staging point for the sea voyage towards the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. Shah Jahan's Jami Mosque, one of the few historical remains of the once glorious city, is a marvel of architectural engineering and art, reflecting Herat, Bukhara, and Samarkand onto the landscape of Sindh.
